William Grazebrook
Biography
Overview
William is an associate in the London Dispute Resolution practice and a member of the firm's ESG & Sustainability interest group.
He is qualified to practice law in England and Wales and specialises in public international law and international arbitration, with experience representing clients in ICSID, UNCITRAL, LCIA and ICC arbitrations, as well as in litigation. He has particular experience representing sovereign clients in investor-State arbitrations.
William has an LLM in Environmental Law and Policy from UCL. As a member of the firm's ESG & Sustainability interest group, he has worked on matters relating to environmental and human rights reporting and due diligence, the voluntary carbon markets and emerging ESG and Sustainability regulatory frameworks. He has written and presented on topics such as the EU ETS and CBAM proposal, the implementation of the Paris Agreement and climate change disputes.
William recently completed a pro bono secondment at an NGO providing support to asylum seekers on the Greek island of Lesvos, and has worked on pro bono projects relating to other human rights and environmental issues.

Representing a South Asian State in revision proceedings relating to a USD 6 billion ICSID award.
Representing an Eastern European State in ICSID, ICSID Additional Facility and UNCITRAL investment treaty claims.
Representing a State in High Court proceedings relating to the enforcement of a USD 50 billion arbitral award.
Representing a Ukrainian high net worth individual in LCIA proceedings relating to sums allegedly due under an SPA.
