Biography

Overview

William Stroupe is an associate in the firm's International Arbitration Group, where he represents foreign sovereigns and private parties in complex investment and commercial disputes.

William has represented clients in proceedings before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) rules pursuant to bilateral investment treaties and the Energy Charter Treaty.

During law school, William served on the Executive Board of the Georgetown Journal of International Law, in addition to serving as a judicial extern to the Honorable Eugene E. Siler, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the Honorable David J. Hale of the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
