Biography

Yuxi is an associate in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance (EIPAF) Group in the Firm’s Houston office. She advises corporate clients, project sponsors, and financial institutions on a wide range of transactions, including strategic joint ventures, project development and finance arrangements, equity investments, and commodities trading transactions. Yuxi's experience spans oil and gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), chemicals, electric power, renewable and other energy. Her cross-border experience positions her to advise on transactions cutting across multiple jurisdictions, serving both U.S.-based and international clients active in the global energy market.

Experience

Advising a US producer on various midstream arrangements in connection with new upstream production in Latin America, including liquids terminalling and balancing and netback pricing on processed gas.

Advising a US producer on processing and exchange arrangements to enable well to water export of LPGs, including on corresponding master LPG sales agreements.

Advising a Japanese company on tolling arrangements at US LNG projects, including corresponding gas procurement strategy.

Ongoing representation of Orbia, an international chemical company, in a joint venture with Solvay in connection with the development of two facilities in the U.S. for the production of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), a critical material for the battery market.

Representation of Vitol Inc. in a liquefied natural gas sales and purchase agreement with Tellurian Inc. The SPA is for three million tonnes per annum on a free on board basis at Driftwood LNG for a 10 year period, indexed to a combination of two indices: the Japan Korea Marker and the Dutch Title Transfer Facility, each netted back for transportation charges. The agreement is valued at approximately US$12 billion in revenue over 10 years.

Representation of Occidental Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: OXY) in its US$508 million sale of non-strategic acreage in the Permian Basin to an affiliate of Colgate Energy Partners III, LLC.

Representation of Sixth Street Partners, LLC, a global investment firm, in its US$405 million acquisition of PDP assets from Laredo Petroleum, Inc., a company focused on exploration in the Permian basin.
