White & Case Honored for Diversity, Airport Project at P3 Awards

Public-private partnerships journal P3 Bulletin honored global law firm White & Case LLP with two Gold awards at its 2021 P3 Awards announced on March 4: the Gold "Culture & Diversity Award" and a Gold award for "Best Financial Structure" for advising on the Newark Airport Consolidated Rent-A-Car Facility project.

The Culture & Diversity Award is presented for making strides in addressing diversity, gender pay gap issues and/or development of young leaders.

"Diversity and inclusion are embedded in the culture of all that White & Case does," P3 Bulletin's judges reported. "In the US, 32% of its US lawyers are lawyers of color, and 53% of the firm's 2020 US summer associate class are students of color. Its Black Affinity Group also enhanced its mentoring program in 2019 to better support mid-level and senior associates to better position them for sponsorship and future promotion. Meanwhile, in 2019 White & Case undertook the second cycle of its Global Executive Coaching Leadership Program to support the career progression of women lawyers across its global offices."

In the winning "Best Financial Structure" deal, White & Case represented the lenders in the senior secured financing of a consolidated rental car facility at the Newark Liberty International Airport.
