Global law firm White & Case LLP has again been ranked as the #1 firm for international arbitration in Latin America in Latinvex's "Top Law Firms" ranking of international law firms in the region. This marks the seventh consecutive year the Firm has maintained the top spot in the field.

The 2023 award arises after a series of wins in markets across the region, many of them related to shifts in the investment climate and the latest trends in cases involving environmental, social impact and governance (ESG) issues.

In one case concluded at the end of last year, White & Case successfully advised the claimant in an UNCITRAL arbitration that protected the validity of a long-term toll road concession contract and obtained an award of damages and costs. The matter was recently named the Latin American dispute of the year at the annual Latin Lawyer "Deal of the Year" Awards

"The Latinvex award is a tribute to our clients for collaborating with us and confiding in our experience," said Jonathan C. Hamilton, White & Case partner and head of international arbitration for Latin America. "We developed and carried out a long-term strategy to be the leader in Latin American arbitration matters, and built a robust, diverse and cross-office team to facilitate and protect investment and development in the region."
