Diversity Lab has announced that White & Case has again fully satisfied its criteria for Mansfield Plus certification after completing the Mansfield Rule 4.0 12-month certification program.
Mansfield 4.0 certifies that a law firm has affirmatively considered at least 30 percent women, underrepresented racial/ethnic groups, LGBTQ+ lawyers and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities and senior lateral positions. Mansfield Certification Plus indicates that, in addition to meeting or exceeding the baseline certification requirements, White & Case reached at least 30 percent underrepresented lawyer representation in a notable number of the Firm’s current leadership roles.
White & Case was first Mansfield certified in 2018, the certification's inaugural year, and has been Mansfield Plus certified every year since.
"We are thrilled to be certified for Mansfield 4.0," said White & Case Partner Arlene Arin Hahn (New York), Chair of the White & Case Global Diversity Initiative. "We know that the foundational structure, incentives, and practices of the modern law firm were largely designed when many groups of the population were not yet even admitted–or permitted–to practice law. Programs like Mansfield help us to rethink some of the ways in which we can adjust or tweak processes and structures at White & Case so that they support our core principles of providing equal opportunities for the professional growth of all our talented people."
