White & Case Co-Head of Global M&A Kimberly Petillo-Décossard spoke with Bloomberg Law about how artificial intelligence (AI) companies are fueling law firm M&A work, having accounted for more than a fourth of deals in the Bloomberg third-quarter league tables.
The deals "frankly need a lot of cooks in the kitchen," she said, due to AI transactions often touching on numerous practice areas, including financing, real estate, infrastructure, environment, intellectual property, data privacy and energy.
