Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice and Employment, Compensation & Benefits (ECB) Practice with the addition of Robin Melman as a partner in New York.

"White & Case has built a team of talented ECB lawyers," said White & Case Chair Heather McDevitt. "As we continue to further execute our vision for US growth, Robin's experience across the full spectrum of executive and employee matters will add further depth to our offering in the Americas. Her arrival also strengthens our M&A and Capital Markets Practices, who rely on top ECB advice to advise on some of the market's most complex, high-profile deals."

Melman brings extensive experience in executive compensation and employee benefit matters, with particular emphasis on advising public and private companies and management teams on the corporate governance, disclosure requirement, tax and contractual issues that arise in mergers and acquisitions and other complex corporate transactions. She joins White & Case from another leading law firm, where she was Chair of its Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Section.

"ECB advice of the highest caliber remains of critical importance to the Firm's public, private, C-suite and board level clients," said Henrik Patel, Head of the Firm's ECB Practice. "Robin brings strong credentials that make her a natural fit for our global platform, as we continue to build our practice following the recent addition of partner Sasha Belinke in New York. She will be a tremendous asset to our clients."

Melman added: "White & Case is a great firm and I'm excited to join its New York office. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to collaborate with such sophisticated legal talent and to join Henrik, who I've known in the industry for years, Tal Marnin and Sasha Belinkie in the ECB Practice."

Melman is the 20th lateral partner to join one of White & Case's US offices this year, following high-profile joiners including Antitrust partner Rahul Rao; Litigation partners Jonathan Polkes, Stacy Nettleton and Adam Banks; M&A partners Richard Brand, Kiran Kadekar, Jaye Kasper and Erica Hogan; and White Collar partner Brent Wible.
