Global law firm White & Case LLP is continuing to expand its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice with the addition of Sašo Kraner as a partner in New York.

"Sašo's arrival to White & Case enhances our M&A Practice with a broad mix of cross-border transactional, shareholder engagement and sponsor-side experience," said Michael Deyong, Co-Head of White & Case's Global M&A Practice. "This combination closely aligns with the evolving needs of our clients, and further strengthens our ability to advise on sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional deals and other strategic matters."

Sašo advises strategics and private equity clients on a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, negotiated and unsolicited takeovers, tender offers, take-privates and carve-outs, across a range of industries. He also counsels clients on corporate governance and shareholder activism matters. He joins the Firm from Davis Polk.

Sašo added: "I have long admired White & Case's global M&A platform and its ability to execute seamlessly across jurisdictions. That kind of integrated execution is increasingly what clients demand on their most important deals. I am thrilled to join my new partners and to help grow the Firm's practice in complex cross-border M&A, take-privates and contested situations."

White & Case's M&A Practice is continuing to build significant strength with more than 25 lateral partners joining globally over the past year. Recent US-based additions include partners Andrea Basham, Jennifer Cheng, Paul Tiger, Airi Hammalov and Stephen Fraidin in New York; Gabriel Salinas, Josh Teahen, Ian Goldberg and Alex Miron in Houston; Susan Nieto in Washington, DC; and Nicole Daley in Boston.
