Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice, Global Energy Industry Group and Global Private Capital Industry Group with the addition of Joshua Teahen as a partner in Houston.

"We're going from strength to strength in Houston, advising US-based clients and international investors on their most significant deals in the energy sector," said White & Case Chair Heather McDevitt. "Josh is a talented dealmaker who will strengthen our Houston office and our energy offering, both priorities for our Firm."

Teahen advises public and private companies and private equity sponsors on strategic transactions across the energy and infrastructure industries, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures and securities offerings. He joins White & Case from another leading global law firm, where he was a partner.

"Josh brings excellent M&A and PE deal experience across the energy and infrastructure industries," said Jay Cuclis, White & Case's Houston Office Executive Partner and Co-Head of the Firm's Global Energy Industry Group. "As we continue to strengthen our presence in Houston, his arrival will further enhance our ability to offer best-in-class service to our clients, globally."

Teahen added: "The combination of White & Case's integrated global platform, energy and infrastructure strength and outstanding M&A team is an exciting opportunity to continue to develop my practice. I look forward to collaborating with the Firm's lawyers to further expand relationships within these sectors, and further grow our presence in Houston."

White & Case's energy industry expertise has continued to grow since the start of 2025, with the addition of Project Development and Finance partners John Donaleski in New York, Patrick Johnson in Houston and Serra Tar in London; M&A and Sustainability & Responsible Business partner Peter Trimarchi in New York; and M&A partners Ian Goldberg and Alex Miron in Houston. Teahen's addition also furthers the expansion of the Firm's Houston office, which now has more than 80 lawyers.
