White & Case advises Casa dos Ventos on US$1.1 billion private notes placement

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Casa dos Ventos, a Brazilian renewable energy generation company, on the issuance of US$1.1 billion in senior guaranteed notes issued by certain subsidiaries of Casa dos Ventos, marking the largest US private placement ever executed by a Brazilian company. The proceeds from the notes will be used to fund the development and construction of renewable energy generation assets located in the Brazilian states of Piauí, Ceará and Mato Grosso do Sul, which are intended to provide power for data center operations.

The White & Case team was led by partners Max Turner (Paris), John Anderson (São Paulo) and Rafael Roberti (New York), and included associate Maria Pinto (São Paulo). Law clerk Hopper Murray and Latin America fellow Andre Moretti de Gois (both in New York) also assisted on the matter.
