Overview

Alan Rosengarten is a projects and infrastructure lawyer with over 23 years experience in the transport, infrastructure and defence sectors.

In particular, Alan has extensive experience leading deals involving roads, airports, social infrastructure, water and defence projects, including having advised clients in relation to every Australian toll road project as well as road projects in the United States, Asia and Europe.

Alan's clients include sponsors, equity investors, financiers, government agencies and contractors, and Alan has advised them across the full spectrum of transactions including greenfield and brownfield developments, privatisations, distressed asset sales, equity sales and refinancings.

Advised First Philippine Holdings on their bid for the development, operation and maintenance of the Mactan Cebu International Airport PPP Project.

Philippines Regional Airports Project*
Advised Aboitiz and Vinci Airports on their bid for the development, operation and maintenance of Bacolod-Silay International Airport, Davao International Airport, Iloilo International Airport, Laguindingan Airport and New Bohol (Panglao) Airport.

Australian airports*
Advised Hastings Funds Management, AMP and RREEF on the acquisition of interests in Melbourne Airport and Launceston Airport and the acquisition and subsequent sell down of interests in Darwin Airport, Alice Springs Airport and Perth Airport.

Queensland Motorways*
Advised IFM, Borealis and GIC in relation to their unsuccessful bid for Queensland Motorways, including the concessions to operate the Logan and Gateway Motorways, Legacy Way Tunnel, Clem7 Tunnel and the Go-Between Bridge.

Transmission Gully Road PPP*
Advised Wellington Gateway Partnership (comprising Leighton Contractors and InfraRed Infrastructure) on their successful bid for the $850 million Transmission Gully PPP road project in New Zealand.

Wiri Prison, NZ*
Advised Leightons and G4S on their unsuccessful bid for the Wiri Prison PPP Project in New Zealand.

Singapore Sportshub & ITE*
Advised UGL Limited on their successful bids for the S$1.75 billion Singapore Sportshub Project and the Institute of Technical Education in Singapore.

Connections Project / Northern Victoria Irrigation Renewal Project*
