Overview
Anne-Marie Wicks is a partner in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Group based in Doha.
Anne-Marie has extensive experience advising governmental entities, sponsors, developers and lenders on the development and financing of large international projects, particularly in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Anne-Marie's experience covers the gas, petrochemical, LNG and electricity sectors.

Oil & Gas
Representation of a major national oil company in the Middle East in relation to the sale of a 10% stake in one of its upstream subsidiaries to a strategic partner.
Representation of International Finance Corporation (IFC), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and a syndicate of local banks on the project financing of the first 4.5 MTPA LNG receiving, regasification and storage facility at Port Qasim in Pakistan.
Representation of a major national oil company in the Middle East in connection with all aspects of its joint venture with a specialty chemicals company.
Representation of the sponsor on the proposed US$3 billion financing of a petrochemical complex in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Representation of Egypt Hydrocarbon Corporation in connection with the development and financing of a US$350 million nitric acid and ammonium nitrate complex in the Suez region of Egypt.
Advising an international trading company on its entry into spot LNG sale and purchase agreements.
Representation of the sponsors on the US$11.2 billion Qatargas 2 LNG project in Qatar.
Power
Advising Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) with respect to the procurement of the 2,400MW Hassyan clean coal power project in Dubai. This transaction won the PFI Award "Middle East and Africa Power Deal of the Year" for 2016.
Advising IFC with respect to the financing of a 50MW PV solar plant in Jordan.
Advising the developers in connection with their potential bid for a PV solar facility in Egypt under the Egyptian Feed in Tariff scheme.
Representation of lenders in respect of two solar farms in the UK including providing advice with respect to the UK Feed-In Tariff mechanism.
Advising Eskom as energy offtaker, transmission system owner and system operator, in connection with two independent power projects for new peaking capacity (totaling 1,000MW) in South Africa.
