Biography
Ashwati is an associate in the Project Development and Finance practice in the London office. She has wide-ranging experience in advising commercial banks and other lenders, sponsors and corporates on energy, resources and infrastructure financing transactions.
Ashwati has acted on various project financings, acquisition financings, mining financings, real estate financings and refinancings across developed and emerging markets.
Experience
Representation of the bank lenders, EUPP funders and hedge providers on holdco financings for Copenhagen Airport under a multi-creditor structure.
Representation of Bristol Airport on refinancings, including senior bank facilities and multiple English law-governed USPPs.
Representation of Farnborough Airport on its refinancing.
Representation of VTTI, a global leader in independent energy that develops critical carbon-neutral energy infrastructure, on its US$1.7 billion refinancing. We previously advised VTTI on the establishment of the multi-billion dollar multi-creditor common terms platform, including senior bank facilities, a USPP and standalone hedging, as part of refinancing of their existing unsecured bank and PP debt, and subsequent work.
Representation of the lenders on the acquisition financing for a successful bid for Weltec, a portfolio of German biogas plants.
Representation of the institutional funders on the refinancing of certain debt pertaining to Solör Bioenergi Group, one of the leading district heating providers in the Nordics.
Representation of the debt providers to Norled AS, one of the largest Norwegian ferry businesses, on its refinancing and establishment of a common terms platform, including bank, PP and bond debt.
Representation of the funders to a bidder in relation to the multi-billion, multi-layer financing for its bid for 51% of the issued shares in Deutsche Telecom's German and Austrian TowerCo.
