Overview

Barbara Mittelstaedt advises national and international banks and financial service providers on banking and banking regulatory law matters as well as on company and insolvency law matters.

She assists corporates and financial institutions in national and cross-border finance transactions and the restructuring of complex financings.

She also advises national and international banks on all financial regulatory issues in connection with international finance transactions and restructurings and advises on complex corporate governance and compliance matters.

Prior to joining the White & Case Düsseldorf office in 2001, Barbara Mittelstaedt worked for more than eight years as an in-house counsel for a major bank in Düsseldorf.

  • On-going advice to a telecommunications provider in connection with business activities subject to financial regulatory law, including German Banking Act and Payment Services Supervision Act
  • Advice to clients from the industry sector (Automotive, Trade) and the financial sector (Banking, Leasing) with regard to the structuring, documentation and implementation of cross-border cash-pooling agreements
  • Advice to an international leasing group on the restructuring of its international business activities
