Biography
Daniel Mansfield is an associate in our global M&A and Corporate practice based in London. He is a member of our EMEA Private Equity team.
Daniel focuses on private equity acquisitions and equity investments. He also advises on a broad range of corporate transactions (including domestic, cross-border and global mergers and acquisitions) and management teams in relation to the equity incentive arrangements.
Experience
Daniel's experience includes advising:
CVC on the acquisition of a majority interest in Partner in Pet Food Group (PPF) from Cinven. PPF produces a full range of pet food products from 12 facilities around Europe and supplies more than 280 customers in over 35 countries, including speciality pet retailers, general food retailers, discounters and online specialists.
The Carlyle Group:
- on its acquisition of Meopta Optika, a manufacturer of optical, opto-mechanical, and opto-electronic solutions headquartered in the Czech Republic.
- on its acquisition of international digital marketing agency Incubeta Holdings International Limited.
As lead investor in a c. US$55 million Series B round into Hack the Box, a gamified cybersecurity training platform, based in the UK with a presence in Greece and the US.
Nordic Capital on the sale of Macrobond, a fast-growing global technology platform providing economic and financial data, to Francisco Partners.
Regnology, a Nordic Capital portfolio company, on the acquisitions of:
- Wolters Kluwer's Finance, Risk & Regulatory Reporting (FRR) unit.
- The entire shareholding of Heywood Business Analysts Proprietary Limited, a South African IT software development company focusing on banking and financial institutions from the sole shareholder, Chris Strangways-Dixon.
- Invoke from private equity investors ISAI Expansion and Sagard NewGen as well as Invoke’s CEO Raphael de Talhouet.
- PwC Tax Information Reporting Limited, a provider of tax reporting software solutions, from PwC Holdings (UK) Limited.
Duco, a Nordic Capital portfolio company, on its acquisition of Metamaze BV, a Belgian tech company that has developed document creation software.
Reuse Holdings Limited, an affiliate of Sortera Group AB, a leading waste and recycling services provider in Northern Europe and portfolio company of Nordic Capital, on its acquisition of G.B.N. Services Limited, a waste services provider operating across North London, UK.
Payroc Worldaccess LLC, a US based technology platform providing businesses with tools and infrastructure to accept payments across multiple channels on its acquisition of BlueSnap Payments a portfolio company of Parthenon Capital Partners.
The founders (Michael Bevan and Nicholas Alcock) and G3, a global strategic advisory consultancy, in the sale of G3 to Oakley Capital.
Monterro, a leading Nordic private equity fund investing in software companies, on its sale of Hypergene, a project management and portfolio management software company.
Titan Wealth and its majority shareholder Parthenon Capital on:
the acquisition of Independent Wealth Planners; and the acquisition of AHR Group.
Six existing investors (SoftBank Vision Fund II, Lightrock, Escala, Ally Bridge, Watrium and Cambridge Innovation Capital) in a US$165 million convertible loan funding round into CMR Surgical, a Cambridge-based designer and supplier of next-generation surgical robots.
Motive Capital Management, LLC, a New York and London-based fintech investor, on its acquisition of the With Intelligence group (a provider of data and intelligence to the asset management industry) from Intermediate Capital Group and certain management shareholders.
Ares Management and other shareholders on the sale of a majority stake in Titan Wealth to Parthenon Capital.
Clinigen Limited, a global pharmaceutical and services company that provides access to clinical trials, medicines, unlicensed and commercial supplies, on its sale of Proleukin® to Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: IOVA) (‘Iovance’), a late-stage biotechnology company developing novel T cell-based cancer immunotherapies (tumor infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) and peripheral-blood lymphocyte (PBL)).
