Biography

Greg Arutiunov advises clients on a wide range of tax matters, with a particular focus on energy transactions and financings. Greg guides developers, sponsors, investors and lenders on the tax considerations of key business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and working with private investment funds.

Prior to joining White & Case, Greg worked at NextEra Energy, the world's largest electric utility holding company by market capitalization, where he advised on several multi-billion-dollar transactions across a range of verticals including tax credit transfers, tax equity, capital market offerings, and project debt. He was an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law, where he lectured on partnership taxation. He also previously served as a Tax Policy Fellow at the Joint Committee on Taxation of the US Congress.

  • Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in its sale of a multi-family housing development known as Mosso, located in San Francisco, CA, to Brookfield Properties.*
