Habeeb Rahman is counsel in the Construction and Engineering Practice in the Firm's Abu Dhabi office. Habeeb joined the Firm in 2015, bringing with him significant GCC and international experience providing specialist front-end construction and project development advice to developers, sponsors and lenders on a variety of major projects across a range of industry sectors. Prior to joining White & Case, Habeeb worked for an international Magic Circle law firm in its Abu Dhabi, London and Dubai offices.

Habeeb has developed key construction and engineering industry experience, having drafted, negotiated and provided advice in relation to a range of construction and procurement contracts, including EPC, EPCM, LEPC, LSTK, Design & Construct and Construct-Only Contracts, development agreements, O&M and facilities management agreements, technology licencing agreements, drilling contracts and consultant appointments.

Representation of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) on the EPC, O&M and LTSA arrangements for the Hassyan Clean Coal Power Project, an IPP which is being procured on a competitive basis and which involves the development of a greenfield 2,400 MW coal fired power generation plant together with transshipment and coal handling facilities in the Emirate of Dubai.

Representation of lenders and sponsors in relation to the EPC/construction, operations and maintenance of two IWPP projects in Oman.

Representation of UAE government affiliated entity in connection with its development of a US$2 billion aromatics plant project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
