Biography

Overview

Hiroyuki Koda is an associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group, and is resident in the New York office. Mr. Koda represents domestic and international buyers and sellers in domestic, cross-border and global mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private investments across a broad range of industries.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Koda served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable James L. Canto II of the Unified Courts of Guam.

Sony Corporation of America, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation, in its investment of approximately US$400 million in Bilibili Inc., a China-based provider of online entertainment services, through subscription of new shares.

Panasonic Corp. on its 20% strategic equity investment in Blue Yonder, a leading US end-to-end supply chain software provider with an estimated enterprise value of US$5.5 billion.

Advance Stores Company, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Advance Auto Parts, Inc., a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider, in its $200 million acquisition of the DieHard brand from Transform Holdco LLC, a leading integrated retailer, in exchange for cash consideration.

gumi Inc., a listed Japanese mobile social gaming company, in the investment by a US subsidiary of its blockchain fund gumi Cryptos Capital LLC's in the Series A financing of Tassat Group LLC (f/k/a trueDigital Holdings LLC), a New York-based global financial technology company.
