Biography
Jacob Smith is an associate in the Firm's Employment, Compensation and Benefits practice based out of New York. His practice focuses on the executive compensation and employee benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. He advises public and private companies on the design and implementation of executive compensation arrangements. Jacob is part of the Firm's Technology and Sovereigns and Public Sector industry groups.
Jacob received his J.D. from Tulane University School of Law. During law school, Jacob studied corporate, international and comparative law in Germany, France and Greece, including at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, where he interned with the firm's German Employment, Compensation and Benefits team. Jacob also holds an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law and was a member of the Moot Court program at Tulane.
