Biography
Jake is an associate in the Firm's Intellectual Property group. His practice focuses on intellectual property disputes with an emphasis on patent litigation.
He has experience litigating in federal district court, Section 337 investigations before the International Trade Commission (ITC), and post-grant and inter partes review proceedings before the United Patent and Trademark Office. With his background in Civil and Environmental Engineering, he has represented leading technology and life sciences companies in matters concerning a variety of technologies such as smart phones, cybersecurity software, cameras, vaccines, wearables, AI/ML products, and fuel cells. He also has experience drafting patent applications and publishing emergent legal research. Since its conception, Jake has been a member of White & Case's AI Client Taskforce aimed at advancing internal/client services and cross practice expertise in emerging AI disputes.
Jake received his law degree from the University of California-Los Angeles, where he served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Environmental Law and Policy. At Stanford, he earned a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering, a Bachelor of Science with Departmental Honors in Environmental Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Earth System's Sciences, and a minor in French Horn Performance.
Jake is admitted to practice law in California.
