White & Case advises IK Partners on sale of MDT technologies to Bregal Unternehmerkapital

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised IK Partners (IK) and the IK VIII Fund on the sale of MDT technologies (MDT), a leading European platform for building automation, to Bregal Unternehmerkapital (BU).

Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Engelskirchen, MDT is a provider of KNX-based smart building components for residential and commercial properties, employing around 250 people and with a growing international presence.

IK is a pan-European private equity firm focusing on investments in the Benelux countries, the DACH region, France, Iberia, the Nordics and the UK. Since 1989, IK has raised more than €20 billion of capital and invested in over 210 European companies.

Completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
