Overview

James is an associate within the EMEA private equity team in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice and focuses primarily on private equity transactions. Prior to joining White & Case, James worked at a Magic Circle firm in London.

James has spent time on secondment with the legal team at Pfizer, the global pharmaceuticals company, and private equity sponsors Arle Capital and Smithfield.

Ober Scharrer Gruppe, a portfolio company of Nordic Capital,  on its acquisition of SpaMedica, the British ophthalmic surgery provider.

Alvogen on the sale of its Central and Eastern European business to Zentiva.

Bupa International Markets Limited, on its acquisition of Acibadem Sigorta, a Turkish health insurer.

Pure Safety in relation to the equity financing of its simultaneous acquisitions of two well-known US fall protection brands, Web Devices and Guardian Fall Protection.

Summit Partners, a global alternative investment firm, on its sale of leading dental clinic DentalPro to international private equity firm BC Partners.
