Jean François Le Corre is an associate in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Group of our Paris office.
As a French public law attorney, he was involved in several privatisation operations undertaken by the French government pursuant to a programe implemented in 1993.
For several years, he has also advised on project financings and related banking and security issues, and sovereign debt restructuring.
Jean-François represents clients on a wide-range of public law issues, particularly in relation to public-private partnerships, public service delegation, public procurement contracts, and environmental law. His experience includes telecommunications law and the regulatory aspects of different economic sectors.
He works on matters regarding banking law and financing (state debt reinstallment, project finance), as well as general commercial matters.
Representation of an European trade association in a successful constitutional ruling before the French Conseil d’Etat in relation to the sale of food packaging containing bisphenol A (BPA).
Representation of Mercedes-Benz France (Daimler AG) in a successful ruling before the French Conseil d’Etat in relation to the registration of several car models.
Representation of the Republic of Togo in connection with the privatisation of its two affiliate banks.
Representation of the Republic of Gabon, the Republic of Guinea and the Republic of Algeria in the rescheduling of their external commercial bank indebtedness.
Representation of the lenders in connection with the major restructuring of the Ecotaxe project following the reassessment of the initial project by the French government. We also advised the lenders in the original implementation of this project which was awarded PPP Deal of the Year by Project Finance International 2011 and Technology Deal of the Year by Project Finance 2011.
Representation of BOAD and BIDC, as co-arrangers, in connection with the financing, construction and operation of a combined cycle thermal power plant project (372 MW) in Songon, Côte d’Ivoire.
Representation of the lenders of a consortium led by Bouygues Travaux Publics (including AfDB, PAIDF, BOAD, EBID, AFC, BMCE Bank and FMO) for the financing, design, construction and operation of a toll bridge in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, under a concession scheme with a debt and equity coverage from MIGA. This transaction was awarded "African Transport Deal of the Year" by Project Finance 2012.
Representation of Caisse des dépôts et consignations as lenders (acting through Direction des fonds d’épargne and Section générale) for the renovation and rehabilitation of 16 buildings of Bordeaux University as part of "Operation Campus" launched by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research in order to refurbish selected academic campuses.
Representation of the lenders, supporting the winning bidder consortium led by Vinci Concessions, in connection with the construction, development and maintenance of the high speed railways between Tours and Bordeaux, in France.
Representation of the mandated lead arrangers in relation to the €1,2 billion construction project of the French A65 motorway connecting Langon to Pau, a distance of over 150 km, in France.
