Overview

Jérémie Marthan is a Partner in the Competition, EU Law and Economic Regulation practice at White & Case in Paris.

Jeremie advises clients on merger control, cartels, horizontal cooperation, vertical restraints, abuse of dominant position and litigation before the French Competition Authority and the European Commission. He has particular expertise in the energy, finance and media sectors.

Jérémie has been involved in major cartel cases before the European Commission (such as the water distribution and Euribor and Libor cases) as well as major abuse of dominant cases before the French Competition Authority (representing ENGIE and Transdev Group).

Jérémie has recently acted on major transactions including the setting up of a joint venture between ENGIE and EDPR, creating the worldwide leader in the field of offshore wind farms, the acquisition by KME of MKM, which was cleared in phase II by the European Commission and McKesson, in the setting up of a joint venture with Walgreens Boots Alliance*.

Jérémie has published various articles and academic papers in the field of competition law. He is also a lecturer at the Toulouse School of Economics teaching Competition law to post-graduate students.

Jérémie Marthan is a Non-Governmental Advisor (NGA) of the French Competition Authority before the International Competition Network.

Before joining White & Case in 2021, Jeremie was Counsel in the Competition/Antitrust practice of a Magic Circle law firm in Paris.
