Overview

Josh is a highly regarded infrastructure, project development and project finance lawyer. Josh has a proven track record with large scale infrastructure, PPP and power projects and regularly advises on the development, acquisition/divestment and financing (both debt and equity) of these projects.

Josh has extensive experience advising on transactions that together span the entire lifecycle of various infrastructure classes (e.g. roads, rail, ports, PPPs, distribution networks, pipeline and power projects).

Josh's experience includes advising on infrastructure, road, rail, port, pipeline and power projects in MENA, North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Experience

Ports*
  Port of Melbourne – a consortium bidding for the A$9.73 billion Port of Melbourne privatisation. Port Botany/Port Kembla – the NSW Ports consortium, (Industry Funds Management, AustralianSuper, Cbus, HESTA, HOSTPLUS and Tawreed Investments Limited), as the successful bidder for the A$5.07 billion privatisation of the Ports of Botany and Kembla.  

Electricity/Gas/Water/Transmission*
  TransGrid – a consortium bidding for the A$10.258 billion Transgrid electricity distribution network in New South Wales. BG LNG Pipeline – a consortium bidding for the A$6 billion 543 kilometre BG owned pipeline network linking natural gas fields and the QCLNG export facility. Sydney Desalination – a consortium bidding for the A$2.3 billion Sydney Desalination Plan from the NSW State Government.  

Rail*
  Melbourne Metro Rail Project – the Melbourne Metro Rail Authority in relation to the A$11 billion Melbourne Metro Rail Project. High Capacity Metro Trains – the State of Victoria in relation to the A$1.3 billion High Capacity Metro Trains PPP. Capital Metro – the successful D&C consortium bidding for the A$783 million Canberra Light Rail PPP.  

Roads*
  East West Link - the East West Connect consortium (Capella Capital, Lend Lease, Acciona, and Bouygues) in relation to the successful tender for the A$6-$8 billion East West Link PPP in Victoria.  

Hospitals*
  Bendigo Hospital - Exemplar Health Consortium (Capella Capital, Lend Lease, Siemens, Spotless) in relation to its successful bid for the $630 million Bendigo Hospital PPP.
