White & Case wins APAC Legal Adviser of the Year at IJGlobal Asia-Pacific Awards 2023

IJGlobal has named global law firm White & Case LLP "Legal Adviser of the Year for APAC" at its 2023 Asia-Pacific awards ceremony held in Singapore on April 17, 2024.
The Firm also won the following eight "Deal of the Year" awards:

Oil & Gas Deal of the Year–Petrochemicals: LINE Project
White & Case represented Lotte Chemical Corporation and PT Lotte Chemical Indonesia on the development and financing of a US$2.4 billion naphtha cracker project in the Banten Province of Indonesia.

Sustainability-linked Loan of the Year–Data Centres: SEL2 Financing
White & Case represented the international banks as lenders on the project financing of the SEL2 data center project in Bupyeong-Gu, Incheon, South Korea. The project is being developed by Digital Edge and SK ecoplant.

Renewable Energy Deal of the Year–Other: Jeonnam 1
White & Case represented Jeonnam Offshore Wind Power Co. Ltd. (a joint venture between SK E&S and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners) on the development and project financing of the 99 MW Jeonnam 1 offshore wind project located off the coast of Shin-an County in Jeonnam Province, South Korea.

Renewable Energy Deal of the Year–Solar: Sherabad I Solar PV Plant
White & Case represented the Asian Development Bank (as transaction adviser to the Government of Uzbekistan) on the tender and development of a solar PV power plant project in Sherabad, Uzbekistan.

Renewable Energy Deal of the Year–Offshore Wind: Dragon Sea Project-Hai Long
White & Case represented Mitsui & Co., Ltd. in its capacity as a sponsor on the financing and development of the Hai Long Offshore Wind Power Project in Taiwan.

Transport Deal of the Year–Port: Geelong Port
White & Case represented Brookfield Asset Management on the A$1.2 billion sale of the Port of Geelong, the leading bulk port in Victoria, Australia.

Energy Transition Deal of the Year–Manufacturing: Project Ceres
White & Case represented Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers Pty Ltd. in the development and financing of the US$4.2 billion greenfield Karratha Urea Project in Western Australia.

Oil & Gas Deal of the Year–Decarbonisation: RDMP Balikpapan
White & Case represented PT Kilang Pertamina Balikpapan, a subsidiary of Indonesian state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero), on the US$3.1 billion project development and financing of the Balikpapan Refinery Development Master Plan project. The financing will be used to upgrade the capacity and capabilities of the Balikpapan refinery in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
