Biography

Overview

Kieran is an associate in our global Real Estate industry group currently based in London.

Kieran advises international and domestic clients on a broad spectrum of real estate issues, including acquisitions and disposals, commercial leases, property management, property development and other landlord and tenant matters.

Kieran has a particular sector focus in relation to data centres and regularly advises operators, developers, customers and lenders in relation to this asset class.

Whilst at his previous firm, Kieran completed a 12-month secondment to the in-house legal team of a global hyperscale business negotiating lease and service agreements in excess of 600MW.

Advising global hyperscale business on an innovative lease and leaseback (with purchase option rights) transaction structure in relation to a 96 MW data centre development India.*

Advising a data centre operator on build to suit data centres across the EMEA and APAC regions.*

Advising global hyperscale business on AI data centre colocation contracts in excess of 300MW.*

Advising global hyperscale business on its global network upgrade retrofit project.*

Advising global hyperscale business on its acquisition of development sites in the UK for the expansion of its AI footprint.*

Advising global hyperscale business on build to suit data centres in Frankfurt and London which included a separate services agreement arrangement to deal with critical services and facilities management.*

Representation of a global data centre operator on its acquisition of an operational data centre in London and the grant of a colocation services agreement back to the seller.*

Advising a UK based data centre operator in respect of the re-financing of its UK portfolio.*

Advising a data centre operator in respect of its template contracts structure for edge deployments across EMEA.*

Representation of a global data centre operator on the property aspects of its acquisition of an EMEA based data centre operator.*
