Biography

Kristy Duru is an associate in our global M&A and Corporate practice based in London and is a member of our fast growth practice.

Kristy has experience advising clients across a broad range of corporate transactions including private mergers and acquisitions, growth equity and venture capital financings and reorganisations.

Experience

Representing an investment fund on its $50 million Series D investment in digital banking business Tyme Group. 

Representing Macquarie Capital on its Series B investment in Hawk, an AI-powered technology business specialising in the prevention of financial crime.  

Representing an investment fund on its Series C investment in Nuclera Nuclecis Ltd, a UK biotech company.

Representing TIER Mobility on its merger with Dott, forming Europe’s leading micromobility operator.

Representing pan-European fintech business Monese on the spin out of its b2b technology business, XYB, and concurrent fundraising rounds of Monese and XYB.

Representing DNEG SARL, a leading VFX service provider, on a USD 100M equity investment by United Al Saqer Group.

Representing Carlyle as lead investor in a series B investment in Hack the Box, a cybersecurity training platform.

Representing Gorillas, the on-demand grocery delivery company, on its sale to Getir.

Representing Hiro Capital as lead investor in the series A funding round of Machinations, a game economies design platform.

Representing Argus Media in a minority investment in Vakt Holdings Limited, a blockchain platform that streamlines commodity trading processes.

Representing a NASDAQ-listed software company in a series of four cross-border acquisitions in the UK and Ireland.*
