Biography
Mick Li is an intellectual property litigation associate at the Silicon Valley office. Mick's technical training includes data science and machine learning, computer science, and mathematics. At White & Case, Mick has worked on cases involving Section 337 Investigations before the International Trade Commission (ITC), computer source code copyright and trade secret disputes, and district court patent litigation.
Before joining White & Case, Mick gained experience working in the IP litigation team of a major Chinese international law firm. There, he assisted with litigation matters involving telecommunications Standard Essential Patents, handling work from patent invalidation and FRAND-based anticompetitive claims.
Mick actively works on pro bono matters. He appeared for summary judgment hearing and trial for a client on an employment law dispute and helped another client succeed in a housing dispute.
During law school, Mick was the senior editor for the international law journal and editor-in-chief for the journal on law, business, and finance. He has also extensively worked with the computer science department on computational law projects.
