Biography

Overview

Peter Becker advises companies and banks on matters of capital markets law and corporate law.

A main focus of his work is advising on issue, subscription as well as placement of bonds, hybrid-instruments and structured financial products of all kind. Furthermore, Peter advises on IPOs, capital increases, other listing procedures and company takeovers.

Another focus is on advising corporations of all legal forms in the fields of commercial and corporate law, especially during the preparation and execution of general meetings as well as on issues of corporate governance and compliance.

Before joining White & Case, Peter worked in the capital markets department of another leading law firm in Frankfurt for more than two years and gained further practical experience during a secondment to a leading German bank.

E.ON / innogy
Advised on the transfer of 19 bonds with an aggregate principal amount of about EUR 11.5 billion, issued by innogy SE and innogy Finance B.V. to E.ON SE and E.ON International Finance B.V.

Adler Group
Advised ADLER Real Estate Aktiengesellschaft on the restructuring of bonds with an aggregate principal amount of EUR 2 billion pursuant to the German Act on Debt Securities (Schuldverschreibungsgesetz - SchVG).

Advised Adler Group S.A. on a recapitalization of up to EUR 937.5 million and amendment of the terms and conditions of various bonds issued by Adler Group S.A. with an aggregate nominal amount of EUR 3.2 billion.

Bundesrepublik Deutschland
Advised the Federal Republic of Germany on the issue of a EUR 7.5 billion bond.

Advised the Federal Republic of Germany on the tap issue of the 30-year federal bond by EUR 6 billion and an aggregate principal amount of EUR 14 billion.

Advised the Federal Republic of Germany on the first issue of a EUR 6.5 billion green federal bond.

Eintracht Frankfurt
Advised Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball Aktiengesellschaft on all capital markets, corporate and tax law aspects of an innovative transaction to strengthen its equity base and expand its shareholder base.

adidas
Advised a consortium of banks on a bond issue by adidas AG with a total volume of EUR 1 billion, issued in two bonds with a nominal amount of EUR 500 each.

Consus
Advised Consus Real Estate AG on the acquisition of the SSN Group AG (SSN), a non-cash capital increase and the financing of the cash component of the purchase price.

DIC Asset
Advised the joint bookrunners on the issuance of a EUR 400 million green bond by DIC Asset AG.

D.V.I.
Advised German real estate company D.V.I. Deutsche Vermögens- und Immobilienverwaltungs GmbH on all capital markets and corporate law aspects of the issuance of its EUR 350 million debut bond.

Advised EnBW Group on the issuance of two tranches of notes with an aggregate principal amount of €1.5 billion.
