

Biography
Roberto is a member of the Firm's EU law practice in Brussels and advises clients on all aspects of European and international antitrust/competition law, with a particular focus on merger control, abuse of dominance investigations/litigation and compliance issues.
He has particular experience in cross-border merger control. Roberto has been involved in several high-profile and complex transactions (including joint ventures and minority shareholding acquisitions) requiring international merger control approvals, both in Europe and around the world, as well as Phase II proceedings in front of the Italian Competition Authority.
Roberto also regularly advises clients in abuse of dominance investigations as well as EU antitrust/competition law issues relating to horizontal agreements and vertical restraints. In this context, he has been involved in some high profile litigation cases in front of the European Court of Justice.
Roberto has experience across a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, telecom, energy and agri-food.
Experience
Assisted a renowned telecom player in obtaining clearace in Phase II from the Italian Competition Authority for the acquisition of a competitor in a 4-to-3 telecom merger;
Assisted a multinational pharmaceutical company in its devence before the General Court of the European Union, after having received an infringement decision from the European Commission;
Advised pharmaceutical companies in investigations concerning potential allegations of (i) product hopping and (ii) information sharing;
Advised big tech multinationals on compliance with DMA and DSA Regulations, assisting them in investigations;
