Biography

Romain Guénin is a partner of the Global Real Estate Industry Group in White & Case in Paris.

Romain Guénin focuses on real estate finance and structured finance. He advises lenders and borrowers on a broad range of investments and financing matters, in particular related to the acquisition and development of real estate assets in a variety of sectors such as logistics, offices, hospitality, serviced residences, sports infrastructure and self-storage. Romain also has significant experience in loan restructuring and special servicing, including distressed portfolio mortgage financings.

Romain joined the Firm in January 2026 from an international law firm in Paris, where he was a partner.

Representation of Metric Capital Partners on a €155 million facility granted by a private credit fund for the financing and refinancing of the acquisition of a large portfolio of present and future self-storage assets located in France*

Representation of Goldman Sachs and institutional investors on a €385 million stadium and corporate financing package granted to Olympique Lyonnais*

Representation of a private credit fund on the refinancing of a pan-European portfolio of logistic centers located in France, the UK and Spain*

Representation of Fortress on the French financing aspects of its acquisition from Colony of certain real estate funds, co-investment vehicles and other real estate positions totaling US$2.8 billion in combined assets under management across the US and EU*

Representation of Mount Street as special servicer of a French CMBS lender on the restructuring and recovery of a €238 million mortgage facility secured by a portfolio of 15 properties located in France*
