Russell Gould is an associate in the Firm's Commercial Litigation Group. He represents clients involved in high-stakes litigation and complex business disputes.
Russell has represented multinational corporations from a wide range of industries, such as banking, consumer goods, food and beverage, social media, and technology. His experience spans areas including antitrust, business torts, consumer class actions, contract disputes, cybersecurity, data privacy, product liability, unfair competition, wage and hour, and wrongful termination.
Russell has obtained favorable outcomes on behalf of several clients after succeeding at the pleading and summary judgment phases of litigation and developing strong evidentiary cases through pre-trial representation. In the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, he secured reversal of the district court's order remanding to state court a putative class action against the Firm's client.
During law school, Russell earned the American Jurisprudence Award for the highest grade in Evidence and served as an Executive Editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal. He was also a full-time judicial extern for the Honorable James Donato in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
