Biography

Susan Nieto is a partner in White & Case's Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice and is based in the Firm's New York office. Susan focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies, private equity funds, SPACs, joint ventures and cross-border transactions, and has advised on deals across a range of industries. She also represents clients in connection with general corporate and commercial matters.

Susan is attuned to the needs of in-house legal teams, having previously served as in-house counsel at a quantitative trading firm, and has significant experience advising on cross-border matters.

Susan's pro bono practice includes advising non-profit organizations on corporate governance matters and representing clients in connection with immigration petitions for Special Immigrant Juveniles and under the Violence Against Women Act. Her pro bono work has been recognized by The Public Interest Law Center and HIAS Pennsylvania.

  • Representation of Curtiss-Wright Corporation in its acquisitions of WSC, Inc. and Ultra Energy.
  • Representation of Dreamscape Media, LLC on its sale to RBmedia, achieving a successful exit for the media client.
  • Representation of Theon International PLC, a globally recognized developer and manufacturer of advanced thermal imaging and night vision systems for global defense and thermal imaging markets, in its strategic equity investment in Kopin Corporation.
