Biography
Tomáš Jíně is distinguished in the CEE market as one of the few attorneys with partner-level experience and expertise in handling leveraged finance and restructuring matters under both English and Czech law. Tomáš Jíně's practice covers a broad range of finance matters, with a particular focus on the representation of lenders, sponsors and corporate borrowers in domestic and international leveraged finance transactions, financial restructurings and insolvencies. Mr. Jíně joined White & Case in Prague in 2004, worked in the New York office of White & Case in 2009, and in London office in 2012.
Tomáš is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) of the Czech Republic. The TMA is the only international non-profit association dedicated to corporate renewal and turnaround management.

Advised FTMO, a prominent proprietary trading firm, in connection with the senior loan financing by major Czech banks for the purpose of the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of OANDA Global Corporation (bidding process). Inaugural external financing transaction – financing of a U.S. fintech acquisition in the Czech market, backed by an asset-light security structure in several jurisdictions, with Western-style selective funds protections dictated by the requirements of CVC.
Advised Spanish financial services group CaixaBank, S.A. on the successful negotiation of a sustainability-linked loan to ČEZ Group.
White & Case represented Dr. Jiřina Lužová, the court-appointed liquidation administrator of Sberbank CZ, a subsidiary of Sberbank (Europe) AG on the CZK 41 billion sale of Sberbank CZ's assets to Česká spořitelna. White & Case also provided assistance on the sanctions regime advising on U.S., EU and UK sanctions against Russia applicable to Sberbank CZ. Advising Komerční banka, Česká spořitelna and Erste Group Bank in relation to the financing of the acquisition by EMMA Capital Group of STS Group and establishment of joint venture with Entain. This transaction is one of the largest public-to-private deals in the Polish market in recent years.
Representation of UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, a.s., in relation to refinancing and consolidating of the group's indebtedness provided by syndicate of banks to Dr. Max group owned by Penta. Dr. Max financing is the largest financing arranged and underwritten in the Czech market. This complex deal included obligors from six jurisdictions and more than 400 obligors providing security.
Representation of Eurowag Group in connection with its refinancing. The Multicurrency Term and Revolving Facilities Agreement was signed to refinance and expand the group's existing credit facilities by providing facilities of up to €715 million. This is one of the largest transactions arranged and underwritten in the Czech market in 2023.
Representing J&T banka and PPF banka in providing loan to be used as a part of the purchase price for the shares of Fiocchi Munizioni, one of Italy's largest and oldest manufacturers of ammunition by the CSG Group.
