

Biography
Vic Sohal is an associate in the Firm's Debt Finance Practice in London. Vic has experience advising major banks, corporations, sovereigns, private credit funds, and private equity firms on various cross-border transactions, including acquisition finance, structured finance, general bank lending and emerging market transactions. This experience is further complemented by his secondment to J.P. Morgan in London, where he worked on a number of market leading leveraged finance and emerging market transactions.
Vic joined White & Case as a trainee gaining experience in the Firm's Asset Finance and Capital Markets groups in London. He has also spent six months on secondment in the Firm's Paris office focusing on private equity and corporate restructuring transactions.

Emerging Markets and Structured Finance:
Representation of The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine on various of its international sovereign loan borrowings or sovereign guaranteed loan financings since 2018.
Representation of Africa Finance Corporation and Standard Chartered Bank as global co-ordinators on €1 billion term loan financing to Bank of Industry Limited, guaranteed by AFC.
Representation of the lenders in connection with a pre-IPO margin loan over shares in a reference company listed in Europe.
Syndicated lending:
Representation of a group of banks (as first lien lenders), including Barclays, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas, Credit Agricole CIB, ING, NatWest, RBI and UBS, JP Morgan (as agent) and Wilmington Trust (as security agent), on a €1.825 billion term loan and €145 million revolving credit facility extension and repricing provided to Advent International's portfolio company, Zentiva Group.
Private Credit:
Representation of M&G, MidCap and Permira as senior lenders and acting for HSBC as RCF lender, on the refinancing provided to Sterling Pharma, a leading pharmaceutical development and manufacturing organisation owned by GHO Capital and Partners Group
Representation of Ares Management Limited as senior lender and ABN Amro, Investec and Bank of Ireland as RCF Lenders, on the refinancing provided to European Dental Group, a leading European dental care and services provider owned by Nordic Capital.
Representation of Ares Management Limited (as term loan lender, agent and security agent) on the financing to Max Matthiesson, in connection with its acquisition by Nordic Capital.
Representation of Blackstone Credit on the refinancing of Acuity Knowledge Partners, a research and data company owned by Permira Holdings.
Representation of Tikehau Investment Management, as Arranger and Lender, in connection with an acquisition financing by RepairBidco UK Limited's, as Borrower, of Hilbre Holdings limited, the Target. The financing involved a GBP45 million senior secured term facility and a £30 million multicurrency senior secured acquisition and capital expenditure facility.
Representation of H.I.G. Capital as Lender on the senior debt financing for the Churchill Group in connection with purchase of a controlling interest in the Churchill Group by an employee ownership trust.
Investment Grade:
Acting for the group of lenders to JAB Holdings with respect to various term loan and revolving credit facilities provided to JAB Holdings and its investment vehicles and portfolio companies.
Sponsor:
Representation of OEG Group, an Oaktree portfolio company that provides specialised offshore solutions for the energy industry, on its bridge financing and revolving credit facilities in connection with its debut high-yield issuance.
Representation of Waterlogic Group, a leading provider of point-of-use water purification dispensers and Castik Capital portfolio company, on its US$925 million (equivalent) TLB refinancing.
Restructuring:
Representation of EP Equity Investment III s.à r.l, a company controlled by businessman Daniel Kretinsky, on the signing of a lock-up agreement relating to Casino Group's financial restructuring, alongside Fimalac and Attestor, with Casino Group and some of its main creditors.
