Although the EU's General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") imposes common data processing rules across the whole of the European Economic Area ("EEA"), it nevertheless requires national implementation in a number of areas (e.g., national security, freedom of expression, national ID numbers, national employment law, and so on). As a result, there are significant differences from one EEA Member State to the next, on these issues. Navigating these national differences can present a major challenge for any business operating in more than one EEA jurisdiction. Our latest GDPR publication, the GDPR Guide to National Implementation, provides businesses with practical guidance on these issues, offering in-depth analysis of national GDPR implementation issues across all 31 EEA jurisdictions.

As corporate members of the International Association of Privacy Professionals ("IAPP") we are delighted to announce that our GDPR National Implementation Guide is now available through the IAPP Resource Center

We were proud to work with excellent local counsel across the EEA to deliver this resource, including: Wolf Theiss, SMT Legal, Porobija & Porobija, Chrysses Demetriades & Co., Plesner, Sorainen, Roschier, Zepos & Yannopoulos, Germus & Partners, Jonsson & Hall, McCann Fitzgerald, Ellex Klavins, Wanger, Sorainen, LG Avocats, Sammut Legal, Brinkhof, Wiersholm, VC Associados, Buzescu Ca, Jadek & Pensa, Ecija, and Roschier.
