Recent Developments in EU Export Controls and Sanctions

On Wednesday, May 30, 2018, White & Case will host a Trade Talk titled, "Recent Developments in EU Export Controls and Sanctions," in our Washington, DC office, presented by The Association of Women in International Trade (WIIT).

This event will focus on the recent developments concerning EU export controls and sanctions with panelists discussing critical issues, including encryption, human security and emerging technologies. The discussion will also cover EU sanctions in light of several hot topics, such as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (commonly known as the Iran Nuclear Deal), North Korea, as well as others, and panelists will offer their perspectives on both an industry level and policy level.

International Trade associate Cristina Brayton-Lewis organized the event on behalf of WIIT and the ABA. She is Co-Chair of the Export Control and Economic Sanctions Committee for WIIT and serves on the Export Control and Economic Sanctions Steering Committee for the ABA Section of International Law.
