The M&A Advisor named White & Case LLP Partner Germaine Gurr (New York) its "M&A Legal Advisor of the Year" at the 12th Annual M&A Advisor International M&A Awards, which "recognize the leading Transactions, Restructurings, Deal Financings, Products and Services, Firms, and Professionals that affect more than one country market," according to The M&A Advisor.
A partner in White & Case's Global M&A Practice, Gurr advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, securities offerings, capital raising opportunities, joint venture and commercial transactions, and general corporate matters. She also regularly advises global companies on legal and business considerations in corporate and commercial transactions, operational structuring and management, and compliance and governance matters. Gurr frequently contributes to thought leadership (Executive M&A Survey and Renewables M&A) and is listed in listed in Euromoney's Women in Business Law Guide and Euromoney's Expert Guide for Corporate/ M&A in the United States in 2020.
The M&A Advisor also recognized two transactions on which White & Case advised among its "Deals of the Year" in the 2020 awards, conferred for work performed in 2019. One transaction was honored in three categories.

M&A Deal of the Year (Over US$1 billion); Information Technology Deal of the Year (Over US$1 billion); and Europe Regional Deal of the Year – Acquisition of ConvergeOne by CVC Capital Partners.
White & Case represented CVC Capital Partners in the US$1.8 billion acquisition of ConvergeOne Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CVON), a leading global IT and managed services provider of collaboration and technology solutions.
