White & Case wins three Deal of the Year awards at Bonds, Loans & ESG Capital Markets Africa Awards 2024

Global law firm White & Case LLP provided legal advice on three winning deals announced at the Bonds, Loans & ESG Capital Markets Africa Awards 2024. The awards recognize “the most innovative and groundbreaking” capital markets deals from Africa.

The Firm’s winning deals are:

• Groundbreaking Deal of the Year: White & Case advised the Republic of Gabon on its US$500 million blue bond and concurrent tender offer. The debt-for-nature conversion is the first transaction of its kind in Africa.
• Syndicated Loan Deal of the Year: White & Case advised Bidvest, a South African services, trading and distribution company, on a €862.5 million syndicated loan, which includes €750 million and a €112.5 million accordion.
• Local Currency Financial Institutions Bond Deal of the Year: White & Case advised the anchor investor on the TZS171.4 billion bond offering of issuer CRDB Bank, a Tanzanian-based commercial bank.
