
The European Climate Law ("The Climate Law") which was passed on 25 August 2021 modifies current rules and creates obligations for companies based in France in relation to the environment and corporate social responsibility. The Climate Law introduces environmental issues into a company's "social dialogue", notably by creating an obligation of information and consultation of the works council on environmental impacts resulting from company decisions and operations, and by including energy transition in the negotiation of jobs and skills management planning (GPEC).
