100 highest-grossing law firms in Germany collectively achieved more than ten billion euros in revenue - Influence of US law firms continues to grow

On the occasion of the publication of this year's law firm revenues in JUVE, Karsten Wöckener, Head of Germany, spoke with the business media outlet Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (F.A.Z.) about the development of the German law firm market and the growing influence of US law firms in Germany. For the first time, the top 100 law firms in Germany collectively surpassed ten billion euros in revenue, reaching 10.4 billion euros in the fiscal year 2024/25, marking an 8.1% growth.
Wöckener attributes the growth of White & Case to a 11.6% increase in personnel and high utilization rates. He highlights the firm's strong market penetration in Germany, citing key practice areas like corporate finance, private equity, M&A, and litigation. Wöckener also notes the significant role of AI in legal services and the firm's focus on complex, cross-border matters for future growth.
