Wall Street Journal | U.K. Regulator Eases Listing Rules in Bid to Revive London Market
1 min read
White & Case London partner Inigo Esteve was recently quoted in The Wall Street Journal, This is Money and Law360 in relation to the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority's reforms to IPO-related information-sharing rules. The changes are intended to streamline the listing process, reduce costs and execution risk for issuers and support the competitiveness of London's capital markets.
In The Wall Street Journal, Inigo noted that the reforms were "sensible and targeted and remove unnecessary friction from the UK IPO process." Further quoted in This is Money and Law360, he explained that shortening the timetable for issuers may reduce execution risk during the IPO period, while simplified information-sharing requirements may ease administrative burdens for companies and their advisers.
