Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised ABOUT YOU Holding SE (ABOUT YOU), a leading online retailer for fashion and lifestyle in Europe, on all aspects of a merger squeeze-out following the previous public takeover by Zalando SE (Zalando) earlier this year.
On 22 September 2025, the extraordinary general meeting of ABOUT YOU resolved to transfer all shares held by the remaining minority shareholders to a Zalando subsidiary in exchange for appropriate cash compensation. The shares will be transferred in connection with the merger of ABOUT YOU into a Zalando subsidiary. Zalando is Europe's leading pan-European ecosystem for fashion and lifestyle e-commerce.
The White & Case team in Frankfurt which advised on the transaction was led by partner Alexander Kiefner and local partner Timo Lockemann and included partner Thilo Diehl and associate Pia Berger.
