Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Adelis Equity Partners (Adelis) on its sale of a majority stake in Säkra, one of Sweden's largest and fastest-growing insurance brokers, to international private equity firm Cinven.
Founded in 2012 and based in Sweden, Adelis is a private equity firm managing €2.5 billion in capital. Since raising its first fund in 2013, it has made 35 platform investments and more than 150 add-on acquisitions.
Founded in 1990, Säkra is one of Sweden's largest insurance intermediaries, providing life and non-life insurance products, as well as pension and wealth management services, to more than 35,000 SME clients and 115,000 individual customers. During Adelis' ownership Säkra has grown to more than 60 offices and 350 employees across Sweden through the acquisition of 40 insurance brokers.
