White & Case advises Erste Bank Polska on commercial asset portfolio financing

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Erste Bank Polska S.A. on the financing of a 14-commercial asset portfolio for Newgate Investment.

The financing comprises a mix of refinancing and acquisition facilities to be used for consolidating and refinancing the existing financial indebtedness of entities within the Newgate Investment group and for providing additional capital to support the group's future acquisitions and growth strategy.

The transaction is among the most significant retail park financings in Poland this year and is one of the first major real estate financings granted by Erste Bank Polska in the retail segment following its acquisition by Erste Group and subsequent rebranding.

The borrowers' group, Newgate Investment, is both an investor with a dynamically growing portfolio of properties and a company providing professional property management services to external entities.
