White & Case advises on JPY39.7 billion green financing for data centre in Japan

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Société Générale and Natixis CIB as lenders in connection with the JPY39.7 billion green financing for the design, engineering and construction of an 18MW data centre.

This is the first phase of STACK Infrastructure’s TKY01 campus located in Inzai City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. The TKY01 campus will deliver a total of 36MW of capacity, with the first 18MW facility scheduled for completion in 2026 and the remainder expected to follow in 2027. The project will service increasing demand for data centre services in the Tokyo metropolitan area and will be powered by renewable energy, reflecting a commitment to sustainable digital infrastructure. 

The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partner Paul Harrison with support from partners Zenya Onishi, Eriko Sakata, Jun Usami (all Tokyo) and Jeremy Duffy (London) and associates Maxine Ma, Mao Muraguchi, Akiko Tsuji, Saori Takahashi and Kazuki Okuda (all Tokyo).
