Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Morgan Stanley Energy Partners (MSEP), part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, in connection with its investment in SolMicroGrid, a developer and operator of solar-enabled microgrid systems for commercial and industrial customers.

A portion of the proceeds from MSEP’s investment will go to support the initial deployment of SolMicroGrid’s solar-enabled microgrid systems to certain commercial and industrial customer locations in California. The microgrids will help protect those locations from power outages while providing cost-effective renewable power.

The White & Case team was led by partners Matthew Hurlock and Marius Griskonis in New York, and included associates Ted Seeger and Kabir Phaguda (M&A) in Houston; associates Raffaele Turco and Ariel Oseasohn (Project Finance), partner Tal Marnin, associates Arian Mossanenzadeh and Scott Schilson (ECB), partner Steven Gee (Tax) and counsel Rob Tiedemann (Commercial Litigation), all in New York.
