Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Qualitas Energy, as sponsor, on the closing of a non-recourse portfolio financing to finance a platform of renewable energy assets in Chile, consisting of 66 MWs of operational hydroelectric projects, a 154 MW solar PV project with 840 MWh of battery storage (BESS), and 39 MWs of onshore wind projects under construction.
"The financing structure brings together a diverse range of technologies, asset classes and projects in varying stages of development and operation under a single umbrella, and we are delighted to have supported Qualitas Energy on this transaction," said Thomas Pate.
The White & Case team was led by partner Thomas Pate, and included associates Helena Buitrago, Maria Eduarda Miranda, Melinda Calderon, Francisco Lascurain and Latin America Fellow Felipe Perez (all in New York).
